To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 32 points for the Graduate Certificate and 64 points for the Graduate Diploma (comprising 32 points of credit awarded for the Graduate Certificate and 32 points completed during enrolment in the Graduate Diploma).

CSU's Water Policy and Governance program is flexible and designed to meet the needs of industry by providing students with the opportunity to develop skills in water policy, management and governance.

About the course

CSU's Graduate Diploma of Water Policy and Governance aims to produce graduates capable of successfully governing water policy and contributing in a distinct way to their industry. It will also allow graduates to integrate with other natural resource professionals and bureaucrats to improve water resources in Australia.

The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Water Policy and Governance are designed to provide postgraduate qualifications for those involved in the large Water Governance Industry in Australia. Professionals within organisations such as the Murray Darling Basin Authority, National Water Authority, State offices of Water, State Water Authority State National Parks and Irrigation Authorities who are involved in developing Policy around water usage will greatly benefit from this course. 

The course aims to provide Natural Resource Management graduates a pathway into Water Policy and Governance and allows for further development of skills and qualifications for natural resource professionals. It provides industry linkages by providing articulation pathways from industry based training courses and provides graduates with the skills and attributes expected by the natural resources and affiliated industries.
