CB82 - Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries

About Creative Industries

Creative industries have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent. In the 21st century, the creative industries contribute significantly to national gross domestic production by creating wealth through the generation and use of intellectual property.  The creative industries include music, performing arts, film, television, radio, advertising, games and interactive content, writing, publishing, architecture, design, and visual arts. Florida (2002) observes that where ever the creative industries flourish, wealth follows and cities and economies grow faster than in manufacturing centres.  Creative industries combine the creation, production and commercialisation of creative contents which may be cultural in nature or designed solely for economic gain.
